While you rejoice, Please don't relax yet. Keep at it, Cancer is finicky. It has a great power to relapse. Please stay cautious and guard your gate. I lost my father to a cancer relapse that occurred a year after his cancer has been removed.

Sorry to be this, but don't let down your guard and live a 110% healthy life.

Oh we know. We’re ecstatic, but now have a very strict plan in place for continued care and constant check ups.

I’m so sorry to hear about your father 💔

Congratulations on this wonderful news! Unfortunately I went through the same thing with my husband but it did not have a happy ending. But my mom beat cancer 4.5 years ago and she is still cancer free and feeling great. Happy Holidays to you and your family! Wishing you and you and your husband the very best!!!

100% agree with you! With all of the other stress of the job, the “does it even matter” question arose more than once with this going on as well.

OP - fantastic! I went through this with my husband too when we were in our late 20s. I know how hard it can be and wish you well. Take some much-needed time off for a break from work and treatment; decompress and celebrate life together

That’s how old we are now, and with a little one, it was especially difficult. The poor baby never quite understood why her father didn’t have the energy to play anymore. I am SO happy to put this all behind us!

I am unbelievably happy for you. My mother had cancer and did not make it. No one should have to suffer through this but even It is horrible to see someone younger go through this.

I am so sorry for your loss, there were many serious conversations over the last year of what we would do, and I can’t imagine how I would feel if I had to take any of those into action. I hope your heart heals ❤️

How long are most of your report deliverables? We've cut down on a lot of fluff the last few years and I would say most of the reports I work on now end up being around 45 to 55 pages. I took a big step today in my life. I signed up for therapy, and had my first session. It was good. It was definitely tough talking about the past and my mistakes, but I feel so much better. I know I can get help and be successful. I’ve proved people wrong before. I’m definitely a work in progress, but I’m proud that I’m taking the first step in being a better person, coworker, leader and friend. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. You never have to do it alone.
