Any good exiting opportunities for h1b holders?
This bowl was for H1b/green card discussion when it started, then re-named to Global Immi to accommodate other inquiries. Also no other countries have an immigration system as broken as the US hence the need for large amount of help compared to other countries. Now you can move your petty ass out of here.

As someone mentioned above, this bowl was the H1B/GC bowl. Every now and then, an immigration question would pop up from a UK or Aussie fish. The powers that be drafted expansion plans for global bowl domination and rebranded this bowl to reflect their designs. So the bowl went global, but the content stayed local (primarily US focused).
I'm from UK and I even appreciate it's predominantly US questions but it's good to have the option to ask when needed 😁

One of the foremost reasons is that majority of fishbowl users are US based.
I happily relocated to the US from Germany. Good thing that we have that form of final mobility :)

I mean not to be offensive but if you have a immigration question related to other countries,
please go ahead and ask. If there is someone who knows it or is from that country might jump in and help.
So, the purpose of this bowl is to entertain questions related to global immigration and people would answer them if they know it but to your point majority of them are from the US hence more US based questions.
Also, sample size wise there is much much more people trying to immigrate to the US. But I am happy it's open to everyone. If you want to go and open another bowl that fits your need better nobody is stoping you my friend!

This app is used by people mostly in the US. Also immigrating to US is harder than other countries, so more struggle & questions.

Yes it’s mostly US immigration. With the odd UK/EU question. This just represents the global migration patterns + ease of migration system.
It’s also heavy on Indian citizens migrating to the US. Again, reflecting same migration patterns and hurdles in migration systems.

Hi,
I am bowl leader. Bowl name is Global Immigration, so anyone can ask questions related to US, EMEA, Canada, APAC or any other region.
As FB population is US centric, these questions dominate the discussion.
However, many people moved out (thinking to move out) of US owing to GC delays, many people are going to Canada, Australia and UK, someone who went to other regions now want to come back to US - so we have all the diversity here.
I encourage people in other regions (thinking of other regions while in US) to ask questions here to translate the demographics diversity in the questions.
The bowl name will remain as Global Immigration for the benefit of all our colleagues across the globe.
