C1 - a fair point and maybe within the genre of jawboning but at least as I understand the term historically it involves actually doing something around legislation or threatening to do something around legislation rather then outright lying about an event to get a desired result. I appreciate it may be splitting hairs but the actual lying to manipulate the markets a problem for me.

Stupid and dishonest and shady, of course. Illegal? I canât think of a law that would be broken here. I donât know if he is subject to insider trading but even if he was would the SEC or Bob Barr would prosecute? Post back when youâve stopped rolling on the floor laughing.

I tried to find that article but couldnât. Looked on MSNBC and CNN, and it wasnât there. That makes me question the origin of the article. What I found is this, so question to yâall is, âShould we trust China more?â I almost think many people want us to throw their trust behind them.

Itâs a he-said, she-said scenario, and far be it for me to place my bets. What I do know is that the U. S. wants a deal, and I believe China does, too, because its growth is dependent on our economy. Though there has been murmurs here, there are clear indicators of a slowdown of the Chinese economy.
