I’m interviewing for a new job with one of my vendors this week. I have a very good working relationship with the employees and the company in general. I have an NDA with my current employer, which doesn’t mean much but I’m wondering about the optics. The vendor isn’t recruiting me, but they’re aware of our current working relationship and that isn’t stopping the interview process. The vendor isn’t a direct competitor, I don’t know if I should be concerned should my current employer find out?

M&A/PE associate (trying to juggle multiple deals) feeling like I don’t have time to dive deeper into issues and it being highlighted in some of my work product as I am having to turn things right away and just pushing things out - so issues I may have caught if I had a better/deeper/higher level understanding are more apparent when partners review. Truly feeling like I’m just messing up all around but trying to give myself grace. How do you know if it’s just you or a part of the process?

I really want to move out of my parents place for social reasons etc. I still hangout with friends a lot but it’s just a hassle having to drive a hour or so to kick it with them. So my dilemma is I enjoy saving $ on rent (yes I know can’t have both) but the main reason for me moving back home is so that I can save and buy a house. On the flip side with how expensive houses are right now it’s hard to even buy. I’m in CA btw SoCal. If anyone has any suggestion of places to live for a 26 YO TIA!
