This whole sequence is amazing but enlightening in one part: a guy says he’d wear a mask if everyone else did. But they don’t and he doesn’t want to be different. Shows how Trump could’ve set the tone on simple coronavirus measures, and wouldn’t.

I’m a PM at a startup and keep getting assigned smaller features that I know won’t perform well. Leadership is typically the party that dictates what features get built and they do most of the ideation and then tell me to do the rest of the PM work. I’m getting tired of putting my name on features that won’t perform when I know they won’t. I also have to answer to anyone asking why it isn’t performing well. I try to change the features to ensure their performance but leadership says no. advice?

In sum: Trump promised Mexico would pay for a wall nobody wants, a bunch of you geniuses bought it, and now he’s declaring an emergency he admits isn’t actually an emergency so that *we* pay for it.

I recently heard a client talking about the sex wage gap as if it were real. I declined to engage since I didn't want to irritate the client. However, I thought this had been conclusively dispelled? There is no statistical disparity in pay for the same work between the sexes right? How do you correct this fallacy with a client? Is it worth it?

Thoughts on the following: the rise of trump is driven by the emergence of 2 geographically divided americas that are out of touch with each other: (1) The coasts with people enjoying 25 years of globalization and advances in technology leading to high standards of living. And (2) Middle America with people facing the crumbling of the manufacturing economy and disappearance of pension paying middle class jobs that have sustained these communities either to other countries or to technology.
