One is a job that will pay now , other is an investment that may pay later
Depends on what you’re expecting out of MBA. I would take the job. Mckinsey will open up many doors for you later on anyway.

Harvard MBA.
2 years later you could join Mckinsey as an Associate from the MBA.
If you took the Mckinsey BA position, you’d be leaving for the “3rd year out” after 2 years.
So, even if you absolutely wanted to stick with Mckinsey, the MBA is the right answer.
Additionally, an HBS MBA degree will open so many more doors in the future

M1 that simply is not correct. You can get designated EM before you do the MBA and then come back as an EM

Defer the MBA and go to McKinsey, then have them sponsor (assuming you want the MBA)
Let’s not forget that there is no guarantee in second chance to get an offer at McK after MBA. Here you have it now on the plate, work for 2 years, go on a sponsored MBA. Securing both opportunities.
McKinsey analyst no question.

McKinsey. People go to HBS in order to get a job at McKinsey.
MBA for sure. I did an early access MBA program right out of undergrad from a top 10 school and ended up in a post-MBA consulting role upon graduation. Earnings are significantly higher than they would’ve been and my career trajectory was accelerated by 2-5 years
sounds silver scholar
Lol, if you really balling. You can make EM after 2-3 years. When you classmate graduates, they can work for you. And you paid zero dollars, made money, and learned strategy work along the way
McKinsey. With the experience I would hypothetically have at McKinsey I could apply to MBA + have some experiences + have money to pay for it

McKinsey full stop. That’s the kind of job you get an MBA to get
Whoever replies McKinsey has absolutely no clue of how much harder it is to get into HBS vs getting into McK as a BA
I agree
Harvard. Because then I’d finally have a personality trait and could wrap my entire identity around it, like everyone else who goes to HBS
One additional note: you received zero scholarship money on the 2 year full-time MBA

McKinsey will sponsor your MBA. Defer your admission and get your MBA for free
MBA for sure. You might get a PE job afterwards, or McKinsey associate offer at least
BA life is good
