It is very rare that you will find a lawyer that does not regret their decision. Count your blessings for likely dodging a bullet
Law is a super oversaturated field and the barriers to get into big law are much higher, would not recommend
Yes my sibling did law and I’m out earning him by 60% and he’s also got like 200k worth of loans while I have closer to 25k in loans.
You’re already a manager, so going to law school costs you not only tuition and living expenses, but 3 years of a substantial foregone salary. Additionally, your comp as an auditor with 8+ years of experience will be competitive with where you’d start at the high end of post-law school outcomes.
I’m short, law school is not a favorable financial decision and doesn’t make sense unless you have deep passion for the field.
You’d be making more money sure, but you’d be working way worse hours. Depends what your priorities are! Maybe too late to completely pivot, but getting a JD now could set you up for some incredible exit opps as general counsel over reporting
Probable made a mistake if you could have gone to a top tier law school (aka top 10) but if you couldn’t make it there than nah you be okay.
Yes - T14 is a thing, but arguably not even worth it outside T10
