Making mu fall schedule is crazy!

Our 6th grade schedule changed this year & our 45 min Flex period is now first thing in the morning. Students who have signed up for instrumental and chorus are pulled that block but it’s supposed to be “intervention” for the others. We rotate classes so I thought of treating it like homeroom, but I’m having trouble trying to think of how to best make use of that block. Any suggestions?

Administrators: some advice. Considering the vast differences in districts, it can take a few tries for teachers to find their true “school home” where philosophies & values click. On applications, what “Reason for leaving” have YOU seen that come across as warnings or red flags? And, on the flip side, which “Reasons for Leaving” have you seen that are totally relatable/understandable and wouldn’t think anything of?
