Just a rant. The subway is my primary mode of transportation. Without fail, there is always at least 1 person - usually 2 - unmasked. I looked at an unmasked woman when the reminder announcement was made and she shouted, “whatchu lookin at?”. I said, “ignorance and selfishness apparently”. Look, I don’t want to wear a mask either, but it’s required and we are all in this together. I wish the MTA would enforce this.

Just witnessed a mess on flight with flight attendants escalating a 2.5 year old not wearing a mask. We need to drop mask mandates for kids. It’s completely impractical and causing chaos for travelers and flight attendants. Europe is age 5 and that seems way more reasonable.

Deloitte started my green card process in 2019. Went through prevailing wage last September, then they paused the process I guess due to covid and political reasons. Junior attorney at a big law. Ever since COVID and WFH, the firm requires us to release our hours every day. If we don’t, we get called out or worse, get treated as if we didn’t work any hours. It’s an easy task and I never fell behind releasing my time, but psychologically, I feel so restless because we get staffed on how much we billed the day prior and this system fails to take into account the extreme ebb and flow of transactional group. Will daily release become the norm in big law?
