A friend of mine works with TCS as an Analyst, his base location is Bengaluru but he is been working from his hometown in Lucknow since the first COVID lockdown. Now he is being asked by his team to work from Ahmedabad, where his direct supervisor (manager) is working from. In this case, according to TCS talent policies, what is the procedure and the benefits that he can avail, as part of project initiated relocation? Also, how long it takes to get base location changed through HR in TCS?

So my leads feedback which is laden with almost always and sometimes usually was now full of usually and often! Going on a year at an agency in Accenture and I feel like I’m not developing fast enough. I’ve had one main project but I’m waiting around for months to join other projects to reach capacity. They fall through because the client drags things out. I want to work towards a promotion but my manager says I can’t be put forward because I don’t have enough projects under my belt. I can’t control that because the agency sets the work. Any advice? Accenture

Dear Fishbowl PPCers I need your help! A client is insisting we used Adobe bod manager for their campaigns, and neither me nor my team have experience with it. We're also not on a timeline where we can really get up to speed on it ahead of a couple deadlines. I've also argued for budget for external consulting hours and that's been disapproved. I'm on my own. Or am I? Hoping some kind soul with experience managing Google Ads through Adobe can help me out. Continued...

Obviously consulting is a very big field for a reason. Curious how consultants consult on things they don’t have expertise on? A lot of companies have a lot of PhD level of subject level experts, what do consulting firms provide that the corporations don’t provide internally? I remember I was surprised talking to a friend who worked for pwc consulting consulting on a chemical project of a company, since he def is not a chemist by any means.

I took this role ~10 months ago and I LOVE my direct reports, but I’m really struggling with my manager and leadership. I’m at a startup that has recently entered the growth phase, tripling our business. There are major gaps in communication, prioritization and general processes. I don’t feel like leadership or my manager are taking them seriously. It makes my day to day incredibly difficult because I feel as though I have project whiplash vs getting to focus. Do I look for a new gig?
