Hi everyone- I recently accepted an offer to join MBB in June/July. I just found out I am pregnant ... I am worried about taking maternity leave shortly after joining.. anyone else have similar experience? Another concern is that I don’t have prior consulting experience (have a MBA) and worried about being able to perform as a consultant during/after pregnancy. My husband is thrilled but to be honest I’m not excited about this pregnancy :(
Been in isolation for a week and in very good health. My family really needs me home but that would require flying out before tomorrow’s shelter down. Am I being negligent to actual consider flying?
My name has been selected in the recent H1B lottery. My employer is yet to file my case and then comes the approval. In the meantime, can I switch jobs without losing my chances for a H1B?
Just put in my pto for after busy season and decided on a whim to go to Europe. Well, it's something to look forward to!
Has any of you planning to downgrade from ed2 to eb3 with recent visa bulletin updates? Is your company paying for it and if not how much they are going to charge for it?
Wondering what the maternity leave policies are like for agencies in London. Anyone willing to share?
SF Bay Area small firm associates with 3 years experience or less: what are you making in base salary? Annual bonus? What’s your billable hours requirement (if you have one)? How many hours do you work per week on average? Are you plaintiff or defense side? Trying to get a feel for what average compensation looks like and what factors into it.

Hi fellow fishes! Any tips for a case presentation interview at LEK? Never done a case presentation ever actually....nervous 😬
If I accept the promotion to Partner/Principal what's the least number of years I could work without it being a financial mistake. I have an opportunity to do something completely unrelated that's my passion, but I feel like that's the wrong decision when I'm this close. The other opportunity should still be there for 2-3 years
Do you have any rules of thumb for what to do with bonuses? After taxes & 401k contributions, I’m trying to decide what to do- looking at balancing: 1)immediate gratification 2)long term wealth creation & 3)mid term savings such as expensive home projects and/or future down payments on next home. Sitting on ~$30k post tax/401k bonus and trying to decide how to allocate across 3 areas. Also deciding if it makes sense to set a standard for me and my wife(similar comp) to follow for future bonuses.
Not dick measuring but really curious on what the % raise you've gotten the past 2 years. Gotten 4% and 3% here and feeling like I'm getting screwed over.
How to get into hedge fund from advisory consulting? Are professional certifications like CFA/FRM mandate?
Downside to being poached by your federal client? I like the team and the salary is comparable (less growth maybe but that's fine with me.)
