Hello all,
Would like to know specifically about Queer inclusion at SocGen Societe Generale. What is the attitude of mangers and HRs towards treating LGBTQ identifying candidates? Is company really inclusive or it’s just a lip service? Considering an offer with the company but being an out and proud Queer woman, super anxious and concerned.

But see my favorite of Hemingway’s novels: The Sun Also Rises. What about a
roman à clef? Can’t do much about that! I don’t think Lady Duff Twysden had much she could do…
Unless what they are writing is libelous or subject to an NDA I think you’re SOL.
I’m with ya A4. This thread made me lol.
Trump Admin, that you?
No this is a serious question, thanks.
It’s extremely difficult for a non-famous person to get a memoir traditionally published. If a memoir is self-published, it’s extremely difficult to get people to read the book. So I doubt you have anything to worry about.
You’re right. Thank you.
What kind of information is being included?
Also, can you prove it is false?
Finally, have you already tried asking politely?
Yes, she said no.

Is the book under contract? Is it a real/reputable publisher?
No contract. Book is being written still. I cut the person out of my life after hearing about the memoir and its contents (it’s libelous towards many people), so I don’t know if there is a publisher yet but I was told the book was just being written and then the author would try to pitch to a publisher.
None of this is legal advice, just what I’d do.
(1) Cease and desist letter for libel, invasion of privacy, false light, and all those privacy torts.
(2) Attach an drafted ex Parte application/TRO on that basis to the letter.
(3) Attach a complaint to the letter on that basis.
(4) Indicate that litigation will ensue immediately if you do not receive a response within two weeks confirming that all tortious conduct directed at you has ceased.
Of course, this is a big bluff, as publishing a memoir is likely protected activity covered by the First Amendment (and anti-SLAPP statutes).
It’s bad advice… incurring a bunch of expenses and possible liability in order to gain nothing, doesn’t sound like good advice to me but you are entitled to your own opinion. At least someone else agreed with me so I’m not sure why you are making such a thing of it. If you can’t tolerate people disagreeing with you, maybe don’t post online…
How did you find out they’re writing a memoir?
In all honesty I don’t think she will find someone to publish but I am covering my ass. She is quite unhinged and has a reputation for unstable, damaging behavior. I care because she is painting me in a negative light and revealing personal information — also information that is libelous. I know this seems petty but I am genuinely just curious of my options here.
Maybe a cease and desist letter?
That’s what I was thinking. Thank you.
*it hasn’t been published, sorry for the typo
