I work as a Digital Strategist for an agency that specializes in consulting for the public sector. I would like to work at a consulting firm like Deloitte, PwC, Booz Allen Hamilton, or EY. I am wondering if anyone knows the differences and benefits between the digital marketing transformation divisions at these consulting firms?
When a prior attorney has planted seeds (likely out of fear as you were out-preforming her) with the executives, what do you do when you finally realize that’s the exact reason you’ve only been nominally promoted? I’m teetering between stay (we have flexibility with remote and I’m a single mom) or two birds (no stone, the flipping birds) and making a bunch more money (not guaranteed I will be as available to my child).
Any tips or resources to share on how to become a Social Media Manager and how to get started?
How do you schedule return deliverables to reviewers? Do you ask when they need it by or do you give a date? I feel like every reviewer wants it ASAP.
Hi I get paid $40 per hour as an RN. My company does not do any loading as our work is always 7-8am to 4-5pm. I feel like I’m being underpaid as a community nurse. Does anyone has any recommendations on where I could work to get fair pay?
Have spent 3 years in consulting (realized it’s jut not for me) and want to exit into industry. Problem is, I feel like I have no “hard skills” or honestly real qualifications to exit on the basis of...anyone feel like this? How’d you move forward?
Sometimes I wish I was the movie character that just rode off in the sun - windows down, just slipping away
I currently work at a startup as a Product Manager (Director, 3 YOE) and have short term goals of continuing in product management before moving into VC, long term. I have a bit of buy side experience and I am wondering how to convey my goals of going back into PM after an MBA (albeit at a true SaaS company). I went to a non-target school and mainly am going for the network/job opportunities/to escape burnout but don’t know how AdComs will see this. What should I do/convey in my essays?
Hermès fans, I need opinions!!! I’m deciding between a Kelly 31 or Lindy - both in Cognac
I've been waiting tables for the past 20 years. It's a decent job that has gotten me through some difficult times, but I am getting old and tired. What career path would be most advisable for me at age 40?
Any idea what areas/roles will experience the most growth in relation to hiring based on the recent announcement?
If i put my papers now my last day would be around end of Oct. Will I get my variable pay in my fnf.
I am in need of some advice I have a bachelors in healthcare administration. My long term goal would be a CEO of a hospital. I am looking at masters programs and need some advice as what to get my masters in. Anybody work on a small team where you are the only diverse member? I have always worked in places where by chance the group was diverse. I just started this job and didn’t think this would bother me because everyone seemed nice. But frankly don’t understand the jokes or the stuff they want to talk about. Feeling kind of out of place and finding myself just smiling and nodding a lot in these zoom meets.
Anyone experienced growing apart from close girl friends? I used to have really close one, we’d speak and text day in day out for couple years, now we barely talk and become more like a far acquaintance when we bump into each other. I still made the efforts, but pretty sad.

The artistic ability of some students is amazing!
Enjoy everyone 😊😊
So my supervisor over preschool was making site ‘visits’ last week. So the director was in my classroom not wearing a mask and was not practicing social distancing. What can I do(The director is not a person you can reason with. Talks down to the teachers)? Any advice?
Clarification: The reason for the site visit is that the ECE department is up for review this year and all admin are snapping at us for every little thing. Anything else then perfection is not acceptable.
How many sick days do you get paid for when you retire. I heard its not many. Then I should just take all mine every year, right?
What podcast are you listening to? I just listened to Nice, White Parents, about integration in a New York school. It was very interesting and really makes you think about how well meaning people conduct themselves and can cause harm in doing something they think is the right thing to do. Also makes you take a good look at “White privilege”. This made me feel like I have lived in a bubble most of my life. I highly recommend this podcast.
Why are students super proficient with technology when it comes to doing things totally unrelated to school (for instance, making a bunch of Tik Toks) but when I ask them to do something easy like open a Google Doc, all of a sudden they’re incapable and I get a million emails telling me that I should excuse them from the assignment since they simply cannot access it??
Some of these kids own their parents.
My school system is switching to a charter system next year. Apparently, this is different from being a charter school. Ok 👌🏾
Which do you think is most important for having what you need to be an innovative teacher? Time to brainstorm, professional development, or funding? (or something totally different)
Dear Parents, despite your own desires, I am human. I am NOT a 7-eleven. Sincerely, A Teacher Doing Her Best.
In my classroom I have laminated to do lists that students refer to. They love them and they work well.
Was hooded as a doctor in education today at Northern Illinois. I completed my defense last year before covid hit but had a virtual graduation back in December. Today was with the class of 2020-2021.
For those of you doing only remote teaching, do you worry about your students getting enough food? When covid first started, it was easier to distribute lunches bc parents weren't working. What about now?
What would you take over an increase in pay? How about better/cheaper health insurance, student loan forgiveness, or a downpayment for a house?
In case you never got to see the New York Times article about air quality in classrooms, I’m posting it here for you. It makes some very important points about creating the safest possible environment for students and teachers. 1. Open windows if it all possible 2. Place air purifier centrally 3. Don’t place fans in a way where the air is pointed at people
Have a great year and keep yourself and your students safe!
In a meeting this last week when discussing our frustrations with distance learning we had an administrator actually say out loud we were lucky to be teaching online and that it’s easier then teaching in person. Basically dismissing are opinions. It really amazes me sometimes how unaware administrators are about teaching and what it takes to be an effective teacher
Does anyone have a "Take what you need today" wall in their class? What quotes, values, etc. do you put on it? Do your students actually use it and do you feel like it's contributed to being able to emotionally support students and form bonds?
Another great article. I have to share!
Has anyone ever been harassed by a coworker to the point law enforcement has to get involved?
