This job is antithetical to happiness. It’s not like everything outside of work is perfect, but it’s literally impossible for me to be happy while I’m at work. Is this normal?

It's normal in that I hear this often, but shouldn't be your normal. You gotta find or make your own happiness. If you aren't happy and/or can't improve your happiness, then you should leave.

like

Yes, its normal however it doesn't mean it has to be that way.

It all depends on what is driving that level of unhappiness. Is it a specific manager/team that you’re working with? Is it the thought of all of the administrative work? First try to identify the component of it that makes your chest clench up and then go from there. If it’s the entire package, I would look to pivot to a different type of employment. You could try a start up company as that is going to be the other end of the spectrum. If you try that and like it, then maybe that’s for you or you could start to explore companies that fall somewhere in the middle. Public accounting has very stark pros and cons.

I accepted an offer from TCS and later got a better offer from another company. Now if I refused to join TCS, will be able to join TCS later in my career? Asking this cause I heard ex employees can't join back as there was a policy change. Technically I'm not still a TCS employee yet but just asking to make sure. Thank you.

Hi all!

I have worked in business development for 5 years and quit my work late last year due to personal reasons. I'm now actively looking to get back into work and am considering Luxembourg as an option. Any idea how the job market is w.r.t. non-technical roles(account manager, account executive, etc.) and will companies sponsor visa for such roles??
I am currently based in Madrid where I was last employed.

Hi team, I joined Accenture recently ( 20) days however I received an offer from product based company with better pay and profile.

How should I quit Accenture. Will it affect my future job prospects and I need to show this company in my resume. Will Accenture blacklist me to join in future if quit it.

Other company is aware of this situation and they don't have a problem and they have already considered me.

Result i need to give while I quit.

Do you record your unbillable time? I have had conflicting responses. I have been told it's not good for efficiency calculations but others have told me if your still doing work let people know. For example, I get weird international stuff sometimes that not everyone gets (I think maybe? ) and I need to reread the 5471 rules or 8865 rules as I do the returns. I have been told not to bill for this but if I didn't have to spend time to do such things my billable hours would be higher
