I have ADD and this job is the first time my struggle to pay attention / notice the little things has really impacted my day-to-day. I am constantly writing reminders and do a very good job keeping my to-do lists organized and categorized, however I still struggle remembering/noticing minor things. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to work on / improve this?

Hi folks! I've a doubt regarding the whole 'Brand name' concept. So currently I'm working at Accenture total 1 YOE, previously I was part of a dev team but they moved me to a very trash support project and have a 10 hour shift on irregular timings. So I'm thinking about leaving Accenture for a small company in Chandigarh with a pay raise and good work. I'm planning to work in Chandigarh for 8-9 months and then switch to FAANG, will leaving Accenture cause any hindrance in joining FAANG LATER?

I have a Microsoft onsite interview coming up for an SDE1/2 role. Any tips from current employees or people who took the interview before on how I can prepare for this? I have been doing top leetcode questions for the technical portion but I am not sure how hard the questions can be and how they pick their questions. Also not sure what kind of systems design high level questions/answers they're looking for.

Additional Posts in Depression/Anxiety Talk

Ive always struggled my whole life because I lack self confidence. My parents (immigrants) were strict and didn’t let me grow / express my true self as they had their own expectations of how I would become as a person. I’ve always had issues with friendships when I was younger and still do now. I’m sad and frustrated of who I am and why I’m lacking so much confidence. It’s funny because some people (family and other) are proud of me and take me as an example (continued)

My parents just put our dog down in the middle of the day, and I’m bawling in the office. I need to lead a few hours of meetings in a bit and have work to do ahead of those but I’m really struggling here.

Anyone have experience taking Lamictal? How has it worked for you? Doc recommended starting it, but I'm afraid of the side effects (namely the rash).

Has anyone tried hypnotherapy to deal with bad habits / compulsive behaviors possibly due to anxiety? If yes what has been your experience?

Started a new job after 3 months unemployment and anxiety/depression has returned with a vengeance. Nothing stressful has happened yet…but I can’t sleep and generally feel on edge. I work out and am on medication…how do you manage your anxiety?!

Please tell me life gets better

Been in a LDR for over a year now, and things are starting to change. We’ve always prioritized communication and honesty, and after checking in with her, she says she’s happy and there isn’t...

Advice for when your team is trying to sabotage you? I keep getting unrealistic expectations for high level work and also expecting it to be complete the same day. Ready to put my hat in and leave...

I’m depressed. Nothing unique about my depression - I’m in big law, my career defines me, when I’m not working I can’t find the will to get off the couch, I’m sad or I’m numb…I know I’m the only one that can make a change to my life…I’m on antidepressants. Just extremely unmotivated and paralyzed. Self-help books are not for me, but I am curious - has anyone tried a guided depression/anxiety journal? Any recommendations if so? Or, if you have experienced the same, what steps did you take?

Happy July 4th everyone! Am 35 M and feel so lonely this weekend. Have been holed up and just can’t stop crying last few days. I’ve gotten so deep into work all these years that I did not prioritize relationships and feel the immense pain now. I enjoy work but have become such a workaholic that I can’t seem to get out of it. Any suggestions or help please? Another holiday alone will be too much to bear. These covid months have really put me in depression.

Just started w D and the anxiety of f up is high as perception seems to be ultimate importance

I consistently get ghosted and it sucks. Can’t help but feel like I’m just not the ideal woman or very attractive.

I find ghosting disrespectful and if I’m consistently getting disrespected, then I must be doing something wrong

I like my job and live in a cool apartment in a cool city. I travel a lot, I have lots of savings, and I can afford virtually anything I want. I set and meet small goals (ex. run a 10k) regularly...

Has anyone tried electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)? Not as bad as it sounds. it’s got pretty high success rates I hear

I want to leave my firm and applied for other opportunities with no luck. The thought of going back and being there another year gives me shortness of breath. I’m exhausted. I just needed to say that.

Anyone stop taking Effexor and experience this awful withdrawal? My doctor tapered me slowly but I’m still really struggling and it’s affecting my work.

I know that feedback culture is part and parcel of consulting, and I feel it is contributing to my anxiety and depression. At the same time, i enjoy the problem solving aspects and don’t want to do a career change.
Anyone having the same problem? What have you done to help yourself cope with the culture?

Anyone here returned back to the office? My company’s (industry) making everyone come back in and my team is doing hybrid. 2 days wfh and 3 days in person. I’m supposed to start going in next week. I started this job during the pandemic so a part of me is excited to meet people in real life and see the cool office but a part of me is fearful of covid still and the delta variant even though I’m fully vaxxed. Tips for calming these worries? Those that have returned, what has your experience been?

Just promoted to senior and I’m failing at my job. I feel like I’m constantly letting my managers down since I find it so hard to be productive at home. I’m at mess and so behind on everything. I would do anything at this point to be able to work in the office and have my work life normal again.

Any sincere tried and tested growth hacks/tweaks which we can start implementing in our lives on a DAILY basis? I want to :

-have a more productive and positive outlook towards life
-Gain clarity about my purpose in life
-Better physical & mental health
-Gain better understanding spiritually (not religious aspect but want to understand the conscious mind more and how to better control it)
-Financial stability in long term
