So it would depend on the service you are getting. For treatment, such as breathing treatment or ICU care - yes most plans cover but the level of coverage is based on your plan. Do you have a high deductible or copay? How close are you to your out of pocket max (MOOP or OOP) matters too.
You really have to look at your.specific plan information to know how much you plan will pay for hospital treatment.
There is no approved drug treatment. Most plans likely won't cover experimental treatment although such drugs might be covered by a grant or the hospital being tested.
If you look and you don't have coverage that you feel comfortable, you can only change plans in certain instances - marriage, divorce, birth, loss of job, move.
I’m sorry you don’t want to hear the real answer, but it truly is “it depends”...
My health insurance plan really only covers services at the health centers run by the plan. If I need COVID testing, it will be 100% covered IF I get it done at one of their health centers.
