This might be a very stupid question so apologies in advance. Is 401K contribution per paycheck (biweekly paycheck so twice a month) or once per month?

Look at your paystub...

like

It’s per paycheck, so whatever your 401K contribution percentage is per paycheck. So if you withhold 15% into your 401K then it will hold 15% of your first paycheck and 15% of your second pay check which would equal 15% of your monthly pay

like

Twice a month aka - bi weekly

like

per paycheck

like

No I’ve wondered this also

Typically every paycheck but may exclude bonus checks

If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Do you think using “him/her” for “he/she” (ex: “her is playing” “him not here yet”) is something that kids usually grow out of? Or does it need direct intervention? I have 2 students who exhibit this error, who otherwise should be dismissed. Normally I’d just keep them on and work on it alongside other goals, but they don’t have any other goals, and with COVID, and my upcoming maternity leave in March, a more compact caseload would be advantageous.

Hello Fishes,

I am currently working in healthcare as a coordinator and pursuing mba full time in Canada - I’ll be graduating in September.. I wish to get into finance, specifically investment banking or asset management or fintech. I already hold ~4 years of experience from India.

I work in healthcare administration but was a medic for years. You learn so much about innovation but seems like most health systems just want people to fall in line and just do what's always been done. I would take a pay cut to work for a system that's actually trying to do something disruptive in the Industry as opposed to just using buzz words in ppt.

How do people save for a down payment on a house? My SO and I make a combined 130k salary, currently rent a 1br apt for $2250/mo, have other debts of 600/mo and 15k in savings. Neither of us have been able to save much since we started to rent the apt (6 months ago). I want to stop "wasting" money on rent and build equity in a home, lay down roots, start a family, but I feel I/we will never be able to save enough for a down payment (NY prices, 400-500k). Starting to feel hopeless &stretched thin
