Yeah, I know- but both my parents are deceased now and what I would not give to argue about whether I was an adult or not at 20.

A1- same here. My mom died a few weeks ago and I would love to roll my eyes at her wanting to sit with me.

Sorry P1- that first year was the hardest. It does get easier but let yourself grieve. Hugs to all of us and if you still have your parents, go hug them.

We also have a brokerage account where we invest about 10k monthly in stocks. Looking to buy rentals, but we feel like stocks is the way to go for now.

Need an advice, even though I’m an HR. So, I’m unemployed at the moment and want to start looking for a new job. I negotiated my way out for several reasons 1) My boss was not comfortable doing diversity initiative insisting that all lives matter and we’re meritocracy based business 2) I was responsible for 33 countries, which was very demanding in a time of Covid, as I had to be on most crisis committees directly or as as oversight, and at the same time I have a child on spectrum, and with the

Has anyone heard of the Natalist? I found their Parent Plans book but the only reviews are directly on their site. Alternatively, are there any recommendations for books my husband and I can read to begin preparing to have a child? I can’t just get pregnant and figure it out, I need to try to go in informed (understanding that there’s no way to truly prepare). Expecting Better and Crib Sheets have very polar reviews and don’t quite fit the bill for me. TIA!

PwC moms, looking up the paid parental leave policy. It seems like even though I will be eligible for 26 weeks of leave, only 8 of these will be paid. Is that right, looking for guidance here.

I found out today that my employer doesn’t offer any paid parental leave (maternity or paternity). This isn’t a major issue now, but my wife and I are planning on trying in a year or so from now. How many other employers don’t offer any paid leave at all? Coming from public accounting this seemed outrageous to me, but curious to see what other companies are like.

Hello mamas, I have a 6 months old and dad and I both work long hours so we hired a housekeeper while I was on maternity to help with the cooking cleaning etc and to eventually care for our little one when I go back to work. I went back 3 months ago and I quickly realised that the housekeeper was required to do my job as mom while I'm away plus take care of the house which made her even more exhausted than I was. I hired a nanny who only looks after the baby when I'm at work while the (cont'd)
