I need some help. I need to lose 40 lbs. 5’2, 170 lbs. i started working out more but then stopped because I was miserable doing it. Decided to focus on diet and I just end up binge eating. WFH also makes it harder to be active esp when working out (the cardio at least) makes me so miserable. I do walks sometimes but that obviously doesn’t burn enough to mean much. At this point idk what to do. Keto helped in the past but now I can’t even find the drive to do that! What do I do?

I just want to hear the explanation for why staff who started during COVID are doing so badly on average (and I have heard this from every level including staff themselves) from the pro 100 percent work from home people. If you agree it’s real, what is your solution? If it can’t be fixed, are we just accepting that the people we expect to backfill our positions aren’t going to be ready?

Since wfh I have PMs, who have moved to the East Coast voluntarily, push banal meetings earlier and earlier. They aren't even client calls, they're creative check-ins that could simply be planned better. What recourse can I take here? Who do I flag this to?

Over a year in WFH and my biggest accomplishment came this morning. I taught my husband how to use section breaks in Word to change only one page of a 30 page document to landscape view. Consulting skills still strong! 🤪

I’m moving to NYC (from the Midwest) and torn between two apartments - 2nd floor of a walkup in Carroll Gardens (on Smith St, 5ish mins from the Carroll subway stop) and 1st / ground floor of a walkup in Park Slope (5ish mins from 7 Ave subway stop). I’m 26, M, single, wanna be close to good restaurants / groceries / gyms / bars (but not right by the latter), I enjoy daily strolls on leafy streets (part of why I like both neighborhoods), and I’m WFH so commute not the biggest issue… (cont’d)

Looking to move to a head of recruiting role where I will have a team, I’ve not managed a team directly in 4 years, my team size previously has always been around 3-5 people. I love developing people and collaborative working. Under resourced in present role (1000 headcount globally and a team of 2 in India plus me. I have put in for more h/c but denied it; budgets) so want a new home where there are resources. Anyone know of UK remote roles? I really want to keep making a difference

Hoping to help my wife out. She’s a school counselor and would like to career pivot but isn’t sure to what career. Any suggestions? She would like a remote job and thought maybe HR would be a smooth transition but she’s open to suggestions. Also, she would love a fully remote job. TIA.

Moms with children in daycare:

My son just turned one a few months ago and moved into the toddler class with other 1-2 year olds.

I knew this age would mean lots of bruises as he navigates walking and actually playing and engaging with other kids. But it seems like every week he has another bruise. Honestly more like every other day. Arms, legs, head, and even back.

Well, today he came home with a full on bite mark where I can clearly see the top and bottom teeth outline.

I recently started a new job in house. Previously I’ve been at two other companies in house prior. I am in my 8th year of practice and have only done L&E during all previous jobs. I love L&E and was told this new role would be L&E.

Flash forward to starting- the role is 0% L&E and they have me doing contracts, data privacy, IP….I never would’ve taken the role if I would’ve known this is the actual area of law they were going to give me work in but I hate my new job and don’t know what to do.
