This past busy season was my second. I anticipate promotion to senior. Do I stick it out one more year or jump ship now? How much difference does it make for industry offers?

Ehh the jobs I've seen people get when they left as second years weren't any better than a job they could've gotten out of college. For that matter I can say the same thing for first year seniors who have left too tho. Id like to think all the crap we go through would lead to something better and more worthwhile but if you are miserable then no need to prolong that

like

Maybe a few thousand. If you hate it, jump, but you may not like what you find. Don't burn bridges.

like

Stay until at least experienced senior. Otherwise you're just getting an entry level job that you could've gotten out of college.

Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. Is anyone else concerned about how to raise the expectations and students’ self-discipline back to pre-enabling levels?

I hit my one year at my company on the 15th of November. I had lunch with my boss on the 10th and he mentioned a raise but not how much or when it would be effective.

Flash forward to now, we’ve had 2 paychecks since then and I haven’t received anything. He said last week he would let me know this week, but I’m getting frustrated.

He’s raising my billing rate effective Jan. 1, and I’m worried I won’t get my raise until then. Anyone have something similar happen?

Hi, looking for some advice. I’ve been a medical assistant for 10 years, and am finishing up my bachelor’s in healthcare management. However finding hard looking for practice or office manager positions, as they’re looking for people with 3+ years of management experience. How can I get an organization to take the chance to invest in me and give me the opportunity to prove I have what it takes. We all have to start somewhere.

I am a part of wipro DOP (MDPS) as a senior associate since october 2020 and joined as a fresher back then. I am now being pushed to take up as a TL because of my performance and contribution to the project management. However i feel with just 2 years of experience if i take the position i might have to stay much longer in the company than i intend to as a minimum requirement for position of TL elsewhere is 4 years of experience as associate. Also what is the salary slab one should get as a TL?

I’m a 2nd year associate and I’ve been working at the same firm since I started. In a nutshell, I love the work (the practice area) but not the people very much (it’s just not a fit). I’ve been thinking of leaving for some time. I have an opening at another law firm, but my practice area would be different. Should I just wait for another opening in my area of preference? With Covid, openings are rare for entry level associates ...
