I am a Data Scientist but I am doing Tableau work right now since the Tableau Developer left. They are working on getting a new person. However, I have to work on dashboards for now. My current project's dashboards are more complicated than what I worked on before. Do you think it is worth it to sit for the Tableau Certified Associate exam? Or at least study for it. I have some knowledge gaps even though I already have the Desktop Specialist certificate.

My firm’s policy requires a minimum tenure in current role before interviewing and switching to another internal role. I’m in interview processes with other firms for the role I want, but would prefer to do that role at my firm. Is there a way to negotiate with HR about this? I understand I’d have more leverage with a final external offer. But I worry by then I’d not have time to secure internal offer by the time the external offer deadline comes. How would you approach?
