It seems like every firm advertises that they support diversity and inclusion. What does your firm actually do in terms of mentorship or other programs for diverse attorneys and do you find it actually beneficial? My firm reached out about a mentorship program where they were supposed to pair us with a partner mentor who is also person of color, but I still haven't heard back.

How do you explain to you SO the role of billable hours? I feel like a broken record talking about how BIg law and in general the legal profession is very different, but my SO doesn’t seem to get the stress. Loves my paycheck for sure, but doesn’t get that to move up in our profession that you have to put the “time” in and that some of that isn’t just the 1900 requirement. It’s getting very frustrating.
