My son just turned 2. Missed afternoon naps x2 days because of appointments. He usually naps from 2-4 pm. He’s been crying for the past hour, so do we let him continue to cry until his nap time ends, or take him out after an hour (which would be in 10 min)? Feeling like a terrible parent.

Anybody have a kid with school anxiety? My 7 year old will go to the nurse with a stomach ache when schoolwork gets challenging, but is miraculously fine when she’s at after care, or home. I reassure her that sometimes learning new things can be hard, and even as a grown up, learning new things at work is hard for me, too! Any other ideas on how to help? I already emailed her teacher about it and spoke with the school nurse. They are also “on it”, but I want to know how I can be helpful at home!

My wife was able to get pregnant off oral fertility ....she has PCOS... she took progesterone and letrozole.

Its been 5 months since the baby was born and her period has not gone back to regular cycles - we hoped that the fertility and pregnancy would regulate her menstrual cycle.

Can we artificially create that cycle using progesterone so that she can have a period every month? I wonder if she would ovulate on progesterone alone too in this circumstance. Is anyone regulating on progesterone?

Hi all. I am joining an AmLaw100 firm in June. I’m coming from a non traditional route to a firm (Banking regulatory compliance). Billable/collection hours are 1900. I have a kid on the way due late September. Would like to make sure my wife and kid are stable. I plan to tell the firm on Tuesday. Not sure of any formal parental policy. Any thoughts about how to best communicate it? Should I be worried about that impacting billable requirements? How is this most commonly handled in the industry?

I know some of you may not be old enough to answer a question like this, but any of you start your careers in the 80s? I ask this because during an internship I had a year ago I met an older guy who worked for the company I interned at who told me back in the day, the big 8 firms used to be way different. The partners would do coke in the office, they would go day drinking with the clients etc. I'm not sure if he was full of it or telling the truth. Does anyone know if it was like that?
