This wfh model is most unsustainable now. Have seen most firing happening in this space only since people tend to be under-utilised under this model in all the firms.

People from FAANG and the likes, I have a question. Do you guys ask DSA questions because those things are actually used by you on a daily basis or you guys ask them just because others are asking them in the interview and all you guys want to do is to look cool and sound intelligent?
Today, I cross-questioned the interviewer about the same and he told me that “They are not really using things like DP And Greedy Approach in their daily life”.

.. Just think about it a sec. you can get automated reports from office laptop how many working hours are one deploying.
on top of it, there are product based companies whose business entirely depends upon their product only and now whether your product is B2B or B2C with consumer spending is in decline both are set to face increasing pressure.
similar to past eco crises this is no brainer here.
imho, Run to any service based company and get in billable there, i guess going forward for few years product firms will be so less in demand than service ones. (just my views with discussion with friends/hr in diff companies )
Your views and discussions are as close to reality as like people in paan ki dukan talking about politics and cricket stories.
Your impressions are completely invalid pls rethink and have structured thought pattern to get better insight
See this age old mindset causes rigidity in mindset and when ppl like you are in positions where you can influence in leadership levels ppl feel the burn out
You are not logically reasoning or explaining it it's just your feeling which you are trying rub on everyone and making it universal

Seems legit for meesho wrt the top expensive talent they have hired. But highly unsustainable I feel given their product is so easy to be destroyed by Amazon, Flipkart if they enter that low tier ecommerce segment

Both PWC and EPAM are service firms and not product. Don't understand your rant about product firms firing when you give an example of service firms. Meesho is different. Most indian startups hired aggressively with huge salaries back of unlimited venture funding which is drying up. EPAM is again a different case where they hired aggressively assuming huge demand which is not being seen. Also they always strong in Europe and Europe not doing great, there are headwinds. Do not see the same problem for pWC.
Product or service, when recession hits anyone can fire. Yes indian service firms are safer as salaries paid are typically less and so is bench strength less these days. It depends on your mindset, confidence and attitude. If you fear losing your job and so want to work for low salary but safer firms , is like fearing stock market and and only investing in FD. Each to their own.
I know people who gave up higher salaries fearing they would be target for firing and also know people who joined at huge salaries in firms with past record of mass layoffs.
