Yep! I always fast from after dinner to a late lunch (so anywhere usually 16ish hours) and I work out in the mornings. I honestly think it’s a mental game - your body usually hasn’t burned through all of your dinner in your sleep, so it’s easy for me to wake up and crush a workout.
Whenever I have time to, I haven't been able to maintain a consistent time
Generally you want to work out closer to your planned break fast or right after eating. For some folks they have better gains and can push harder.
If you do prior, make sure you’re hydrated and that you have some BCAAs (not protein powder) to ensure that you don’t have muscle breakdown from fasting.
