At the moment I am a part of a public sector consulting practice which is a subsidy of Accenture. I am bored out of my brains though, im doing change management and even tho the WLB is good I have always had my heart set on tech and the start up space. I’m going up for promotion end of year to an associate manager role so I don’t want to make any drastic changes. However at some point I want to move to North America and work in tech. What should my next steps be?

Side hustle or startup ideas for someone who isn’t technical/doesn’t code? Where should I look or where to begin? I don’t have any strong passions or specific skills that I’m confident in. What books, articles, blogs, orgs, events, people I should follow for inspiration that has helped you? I have some cash to invest and am looking for a part time hustle that can cash flow at least a little bit of money on the side.

I am looking to update my digital marketing skills by taking training classes on the latest tool and techniques. What is the best training/classes that you have attended recently? Has anyone taken the classes/certification programs offered by any universities?

I started a new full-time job 3 months ago. My teammates only escalate small mistakes to my boss; I rarely get positive feedback on the things I go above and beyond on. Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? Tried researching this for hours but only found info on applying to other agencies.

So had my first interview in one of the big 4 but it got me completely off guard. First one was call screening and then a technical interview. Now what I didn’t expect is rather than technicalities they focused on the consulting a lot more. Now the role that was marketed was technical/Architect and they even said that in current capacity you’ll work here as a technical person. I don’t think it went well. Coming from a technical background I was hoping for coding .
