My firm recently updated the Intapp Time app and it seems to be capturing my time more aggressively than the previous version. E.g., Composed email to X, edited doc Y, viewed email from recruiter Z? Yo!! How do I shut the damn thing off? Stuff is creepy to me. No doubt Big brother's watching.

There seems to be this consensus that there will be a market correction in the next 6 months. While I don’t doubt that the market is overvalued, I’m also expecting the vaccine rollout to accelerate and the Biden stimulus plan. So macro wise, seems like the market should continue to go up in the short term. Why do you think otherwise?

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

How does everyone feel about the huge conflict of interest between market maker and hedge fund? Does anyone know what a market maker is or what they specifically do in our markets? Anyone ever realize that a market maker can also be a hedge fund? Or am I the only idiot messing with options... completely u aware the person selling me the option contracts has total@control over stock price and legally allowed to manipulate it... bc they take on “risk”.
