How do you feel about being a Scrum Master? Is it the type or role where you have to been in every meeting and involved in everything? Where is everyone in R3 going? And why?

Looking for anyone who’s experienced issues with merging two families together where there are varying levels of conservatism (religion, culture, women’s roles). I’m Indian-American coming from a liberal feminist family, he’s Indian coming from a more traditional family. We have our differences (no where near as much), but talk it through and make sure to hear the other person out. Our mothers on the other hand are two very outspoken women who come from very different mindsets.

I feel a bit burnt out, but is that silly after just 7 months? Burnt out as in exhausted, stressed after work about work the next day etc. I work at a recruitment agency, it is very fast paced desk for temporary roles so immediacy is key. I just got invited to a dinner meeting with 20 other consulting professionals from my new office. It’s going to be an indoor dinner and there’s nothing on the invite indicating whether this is optional or mandatory. Here’s the thing: I’m pregnant - fully vaccinated, but I’ve still been trying to be really careful about Covid - no indoor dining, always masking indoors. At my school there are buttons being passed out that say, “She/her, he/him they/them.” I have no problem with anyone wearing these buttons but I don’t like feeling pressure to wear one myself. No one is telling me to wear one but people talk about how inclusive it is to wear one and most staff do. I really don’t think I’m being transphobic by not wearing one but I just don’t want to wear one. What is your opinion on this?

My school has not so subtly hinted that they would love for me to teach 6th grade next year if I comfortable with it. I usually teach 4th/5th. 6th grade teachers what’s 6th like compared to upper elementary! TIA!

So my district is making teachers burn sick days after receiving the vaccine and having a reaction to it. They state we made the choice to get it so if we have a reaction and have to be out it is on us....
