Stressing that I can’t have a kid until SO pays off college debt. However, nothing major in my career is happening for next 12 mo, aka perfect time to have child #1. Fears about his debt unfounded?
I told my manager I’m pregnant and had a really bad performance review. I’m feeling really stressed and worried now especially because the told me there’s no resources to backfill my role while I’m out. I’m just in my second trimester now and had mentioned it early on to give the team as much time as possible. *Should I be worried and how do I protect myself?*
Just found out I’m pregnant with my first (married). It’s a welcome surprise but was hoping to make manager summer of 2021. What should my move for promotion be? I’d be due in Nov, mid years are Dec.
Hey mommas - My baby is 14 weeks old and I haven't gotten my period back yet. I'm worried I'm pregnant again. When did you get your period back? For context, I'm breastfeeding but not exclusively (I am pumping and nursing as much as I can though). I've been on the pill since 6 weeks and my husband used condoms for the first few weeks once we started again. Surprisingly, I can't find anything online that's helpful. Any sense of a timeframe would be tremendously anxiety-reducing!
Embarrassing - Work in Digital so safely assumed I can read instructions and navigate a drone - this is the 4th drone I have crash landed and my kid isn’t talking to me :(, #DontTouchMyDroneDad
I got married when I was 30. Now I am 34 and all of a sudden I find myself pressured to have a baby ASAP. My parents, my sisters, my friends and my husband all have been telling me that it’s late and I should start planning soon. There is another couple in my social circle who just announced their pregnancy and the rest of them already have kids. The pressure has skyrocketed and I am terribly anxious.
Father of two young kids (both <= 3), we are now considering a third. I’m already struggling to make time given a busy work schedule as a Partner with relevant travel...am I completely crazy?
One friend announces an engagement, another announces a baby, and I'm sitting here on a Friday night baking cookies and coloring. Making thirty look shitty.
11 weeks pregnant w my first and just received "healthy" results from my nipt screening. Yay! Did any of u moms do additional testing even tho the nipt was good? For added context - downs syndrome is present in my extended family
Planning on taking 2+ months shared parental leave. Can’t wait to have that length of time with my family, but also pushing for promotion at the same time. Any advice on how to play it/communicate it?
If anyone is looking to adopt an amazing pupper, look no further than my girl Annelle (Nelly) (6 yo). I’m trying hard to get her adopted! Super sweet, good with kids and dogs. Not cat tested. Happy to chill all day but full of energy outdoors. 🐾 https://petlover.petstablished.com/pets/public/1159058?awo=Atlanta+Lab+Rescue&widget=false
Are there any women in this group who are reduced time in a transactional practice at a big law firm? I’d love to hear if you’re glad you made the switch or not, what has worked, what hasn’t. I’m contemplating moving to 80% now, and maybe 60% after I come back from a mat leave for my 2nd kid next year. FWIW, my practice group leader seems very supportive of whatever I choose and I am not up for any promotions for the foreseeable future.

Desi Parents - How do you guys make new born babies sleep without a cradle? I'm tired of rocking my baby in hand. Any suggestions to avoid sleepless nights? Any suggestions on Indian style cradles?
16 weeks and so worried all of the stress I’m under is going to hurt the baby. Between work, my own scary (non-pregnancy) health stuff, the pandemic, my mom (who is a widow and lives alone, basically isolated by choice due to covid) is having health issues, and pressures to keep billable hours up, I’ve been having complete breakdowns. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.
Today is my first day back at work (and first full day back in my physical office) after a few weeks off for parental leave. Needless to say, I am struggling to stay focused on anything other than wanting to go back home to my spouse and child. I know I shouldn't take an emotional temperature on day one, but it has been more difficult being back than I anticipated. Any tips for navigating the waters for the first day/week/month back?

Any advice for how to ask my husband to get more involved in childcare and/or help around the house? I love him but I really wish he would put down the phone and pick up the baby more (2m old)
What are the pros and cons of being a PPMD? Currently a Staff/Analyst up for promotion but not sure if I want to stay until partner.
My start date is in less than two weeks but my international criminality check is still pending (4 weeks and counting). Will they let me join the firm while the security company runs this in the background? I have proof of no criminal record for 3 out of 4 countries where I worked and lived in. The 4th country is Hong Kong and request of no criminal conviction can only be made when applying for a work visa there.
I currently have a Chase Sapphire Preferred (my only personal credit card). Thinking of getting a United Explorer Card for the 70K miles. Doing home improvement work and will def be able to meet the minimum expense limit. Worth it to get this card? Better off getting something else?
Found out that my partner, who is an ACD is making more than I am as a CD. Problem is I can't reveal how I found out to my boss, so I don't know how to bring this up and ask for a raise.
Any EY 🐠s willing to give me a referral? I just saw a strategy and operations role within the TAS group I’d like to apply for.
Have you been having parents who are pushing back against Black History month lessons/activities? What do you say/do? I've had some push back and hoping that my admin backs me up.

Anyone can speak to the culture of Amazon’s accounting? They’ve been hiring like crazy and I started to wonder if this is a good exit option. I know it’s a big team, but any insights are highly appreciated!
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
Got a job offer from Deloitte today. $155k + Bonus but requires weekly travel and I have 2 children one still under a year old. What should I do? I currently work from home.
What happens if I exit to another big 4? Do I still serve 2 weeks notice or am I terminated the day I convey my decision?
Anybody currently work at Barbarian? Or recently work there within the past year? What's the pandemic culture and (dare I ask?) work-life balance like?
Anyone know about the hierarchy at Visa?
Putting in my notice tomorrow. It’s been a fun ride, but happy to be leaving for a modest raise, accompanied by realistic working hours and actual work-life balance!
