It’s as close as I felt to being in a prison. Beyond awful working hours. You know things are rough when the team coins the term “fritaturday” which meant working Friday into most of Saturday

I have a 25K loan from my MBA. I paid off 100k whole, after graduation. 3 years ago, I moved my loan from federal to private ( SOFI) account. I recently lost my job. I have applied for unemployment, as the severance that I received will only cover for 2 months. Together my husband and I used to make less than 250k after tax. Now, with a loss of pay , we are going to make less. Do you think I will be eligible for Loan forgiveness?

Thinking about buying a second rental property or a vacation home/airbnb type thing in southern utah (I live in the slc area). I own one rental near my house, so buying another apartment or townhome in SLC is a fairly easy endeavor. However, buying a place in another city as an investment / vacation home is not something I'm at all knowledgeable about. Any advice or warnings would be appreciated.

Hi everyone ,

I have my all rounds cleared in 1 company and hr asked me the expected CTC so I have said 33-37L
But later on he asked is that negotiateable so I said upto 32 thinking that I might not miss out the offer because of company budget constraints .

They are yet to release offer , I want to know how to tackle the situation if they release the offer of 32L
What to say to make them again offer in the range of 33-37.

How do you deal with the following - 1) lack of general organization in life, note taking, keeping track of your relationships and 2) attention to detail. These 2 things have been bothering me a lot. We all are smart as hell but silly mistakes such as spelling mistakes, broader checks to be done on the deck is killing me. Also I feel the lack of organization in personal life blows into professional as well. If you are a consultant how do u deal with it ?

Soon I will be working on designing a shared home office for my husband and me. Any ideas for the best kind of set up for this? For context, I work from home and he does not, but he is also an attorney who needs a desk and space to be able to work from home when needed. Thoughts on two separate desks facing each other, on separate walls, along a single wall? The only thing that I think would be a little weird is if we were back to back, in case of my video calls for work

EY v/s GT...
Whom would you choose and why?
Can someone please elaborate on amount of workload, policies, work culture and the busy season.

I have an offer from both where EY is paying slightly better than GT.

However, not really sure what to choose.
I have heard that busy season at EY is crazy, though coming from D, this should not be a concern, however I am too scared to jump into a deeper well hence any advice/opinion will be really appreciated.

Thanks
