Iām a POC also and while I agree about the need for diversity, Rick Rubin has always worked with prominent Black artists and Iāve never heard anything but good things. I love representation, but true allies shouldnāt be scapegoats because the color of their skin.
POC here and had the same reaction. Sheās done it before on other posts and far from being constructive itās getting old and becoming just about shitting on anything she can. Iām all for representation but also sick of this just insert brown person so we look like weāre doing our thing. And not only is RR a true ally Rob is too, amazing human and does a lot to help boost those of us who feel stuck behind this white industry, he just doesnāt care to gloat about it and thatās what makes him awesome ā¤ļø ok, rant over.

POC hereāworked with Joanna when she was a recruiter and she's the real deal. Maybe Rob wasn't a good person to call out but I think she's more than put her money where her mouth is.
Yeah I feel like they are both outspoken advocates for BIPOC who unfortunately got into this back and forth battle of wokeness which does no one any actual good, and is also frustrating for BIPOC to see from the sidelines.
