McKinsey & Company Career advice needed. Thanks in advance. What would be a potential feasible path to make the transition from Big Four assurance role to MBB consulting role? I have 1 year experience in industry as FP&A and couple months as fund accountant before I graduated from school and went to Big four as IT auditor and could switch to core auditor ,cybersecurity or ECG advisory etc. I’ll get the CPA and CFA soon and have some basic coding skillsets. Considering to do MBA/graduate degree if necessary. McKinsey & Company PwC Deloitte

Agreed with B1. We definitely have a lot of cases that report to the CEO on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
I'd say at least 30-40%, conservatively.
I've been in many many cases where we dont just report to the CEO, but where the CEO literally come and gives a hard time to anyone trying to slow us, etc (e.g. If data requests take longer, if something is needed to deliver the project, if someone has some kind of bureaucratic process to go through) CEO just comes and says - do as Bain says, this is critical
And lo and behold - shit gets done! It's awesome! :)
Recruiting: "our problems are at the top of the CRO's agenda" Day 1: "none of your senior clients are spending more than 5% of their time thinking about your project" - as context, been doing this five years and actually now on a case where we are the CEO's top priority - which reinforced for me how rare that is.
So true. Actually I am surprised if are projects are anyone's priority.

So true. A CEO that surrounds him/herself with consultants is a weak CEO
^lol
I had a CEO read a draft 20 page survey once (thanks, CMO for forwarding...). I have Almost only done strategy cases and most have seen a ton of engagement from CEO and C suite. There may be some truth to your statement, but I think the 5% is way off.
*MBBD (fixed it for ya)
Hmm if only this was the case
OP - which firm are you with? 🤔
