Currently a JR PM at an ad agency in NYC. Working on social media for my client. Really don't enjoy it. Previous experience is in experiential marketing and really loved that because I knew humans would interact, touch, and feel the things I helped create.
Not attached to advertising, I crave work that makes me think critically and isn't redundant. I am a huge people person and love interacting with people. I am wondering if anyone has career paths or style of work that is more inline with me 🙂

I have completed the PDM on 27th September and submitted my Back Ground Verification form on 5th October.
Since then there is no response from HR end regarding offer letter, try to connect her through mail and call multiple times.

1. How much time IBM take to release offer letter? It is almost a month after having PDM round

2. Is there any possibility of not sending offer letter even after initiation of BGV process ? Should i look outside as 25 days passed already.

Does any of my Hr folks also manage the safety department or is it included in your job duties and responsibilities? I was instructed to get OSHA 10 and 30 certified. So I did this. I possess my BA in Criminal justice, along with two associates degrees. Included is about 4 years experience in HR. I am younger, at age 25. I’m conflicted about where im supposed to be at in salary. Worked as a consultant at ACN, switched to my dream job in VC and got shafted due to COVID. Now I am trying to find the next good opp, but I feel like a leper that hasn’t built enough expertise/experience to fit in anywhere. I also feel like I‘m too old to restart my career - any advice?

Stupid question. In the H&S salary report, are the splits by size of the fund based on the fund itself or the PE firm? For example, Blackstone has 800b+ aum but any specific fund within Blackstone manages something less like let’s say it’s a $30b fund or a new fund that’s only raised $2b so far? Would the salary report be based on the company level aum or the specific fund (even if it’s a brand new fund that hasn’t raised much within a larger firm)? My guess is the latter or somewhere between.

Why is Bain Capital getting roasted by everyone I talk to in PE? Theyre associates at KKR, BX, H&F, and Advent so not like they’re saying it due to insecureness. It seems like an ok firm with some bad investments that got a lot of press but they’ve survived fine and culture seems better than most I heard
