Cut these out gradually while you increase your fiber/plant intake. I stopped red meat. Then poultry. Then fish/seafood. Then milk. Then cheese. Some nutritionists say it is temporary, because your digestive system getting used to increased fiber. Happily vegan now.
Howdy, I've been vegan for 7+ years. I do have a friend who is also vegan & says if he eats too much fiber he also has gas & digestive issues. I would recommend using lentils over beans (lentils are more protein with less fiber). My friend subsists mostly off of Soylent, freezer vegan chicken nuggets, and freezer burritos. 🤷‍♀️
Vegan here, make sure you’re not eating your veggies like broccoli raw! Alway steam them. And don’t eat them with other high fiber foods. Also take probiotics, drink hot water with lemon, and once a week try this juice: apples, lemon, cayenne! This helped me a ton
Something with how your body digests them because of how high the fiber intake is when eaten raw
I would increase your vegetable intake gradually. I eat mostly vegan (and have for a few years) but if I eat too many beans I will experience severe gas/pain as you mentioned, but my understanding (and I am not an expert!) is that your body does get used to it.
That’s what I was maybe thinking. Does your body go through a bit of a detox at first and could this be the cause perhaps?

Genuinely confused. How do you feel better cutting out animal products if extra plants causes gas/pain? Do you feel best when you don’t eat?
I experience a variety of other issues when I consume animal products other than just gas pains. I have a very sensitive stomach and I’m just trying to find a diet plan that works best for me. Unsure why you felt you needed to leave a snarky comment
There's a pill for that. Also works well if you're gluten intolerant and don't want to be bloated in the morning from beer/alcohol.

Take activated charcoal pills. Vegan here. I’m so gassy (not just from being vegan, I’ve got other things working against me in that department). They work.
Drink lots of water with increased fiber intake..
Vegan 5+ years. You have to find what works for you. Activated charcoal and probiotics help. Careful of raw broccoli and other fiber rich veggies. Incorporate sauerkraut and kimchi (sans fish sauce). There’s a balance and it takes a while to find it. There are so many great cook books to start out.
