I left PwC for Cap five months ago and it's been the greatest move of my career. Done with the reliance on people with whom I don't work holding all the cards when it comes to my performance reviews. Of course, it totally depends on your area of the firm. Mine was toxic.

Been at Cap Invent for close to 2 years now and have had very toxic experiences, I have noticed that a lot of people that don’t get consulting offers end up here. I was an industry hire so was unaware of this.

I’m in Cap Invent and we hired so many people so quickly that it was quantity over quality. Of course there are awesome and competent people but far less than one would like.

Also been with Cap for 8 years and have been on minimal staff aug projects as well. I find the work life balance manageable. Think we are on the lower end of pay to be honest but leadership has always been great and you can build your own path here as well. That's been my experience at least.

I was going through the interview process with Cap a year or so ago and mentioned it to one of my senior managers(who I trust). He literally said “why would you want to go work with a bunch of Indian assholes”, and he’s Indian. He wasn’t joking, I’m pretty sure he meant it. Don’t know what value that adds for you, but there you go.

Cap was an outstanding place not too long ago. The iGate acquisition has really ruined the culture there (see M3’s comment). I still hope they can get past it and get back to what they once were. Sad really.

Been with Cap for almost 8 years and most of that time has been doing implementations as opposed to staff aug. Very good work life balance and most leadership cares

Cap is an ocean.. multiple member firms across the world and even within the US. Each group works slightly differently and the culture can vary from toxic to bearable. As is true with most firms, there are champs there too. The trick is to get on their teams to do high quality work.
