I do it with black Chelsea boots for charcoal suits. My boots are shined and edge dressed immaculately, and I think that matters for a suit.

Yea I mean most responses on here will be very conservative and say no, you’ve got buttoned up bankers and consultants responding. If it was tech / start up also acceptable but even then no one’s wearing suits anyway
I think it’s perfectly fine as long as the last on the chelsea is dressier. I have a pair of Crockett & Jones Chelsea 8s in chocolate suede that I’ll wear the navy suits with no issue. Suit needs to be slimmer cut though with tapered trousers.
I wouldn’t dare get anything other than Crockett & Jones style boots. All my suits are extra slim so it could work
