If you’re the same person that posted about class rings I’d suggest as a new hire and new consultant it’s better to not seem pretentious. Go with the client vibe but dressing overly formal will give off bad taste especially to senior executives (they are rich and arnt impressed by fancy things)
I’d talk to the guy I mentioned about fly fishing. First job out of college and for 5 years he’d come up to me and show me pictures of various fish he caught over the weekend
I might be alone on this one but I think of them as tacky. Even if you’re wealthy and well into your career. Seems showy and flashy which to me signals tacky, maybe insecure. Again that’s just me.
I don’t attribute cuff links to being wealthy. It’s just a style preference
Only for formal occasions. My personal preference
Love ‘em.
Lean with it, Rock with it
Skip unless you’re French or grooming an eccentric reputation.
My husband loves them. Makes it a no brainer gift option every time I think of buying something for him. 🥰
I like silk knots. Less pretentious and I get a fuller cuff.
Love cufflinks but never with a stone on them. Simple clip type ... elegant enough but nor too tacky
I love them. At the client though, it’s usually a matte silver or silk knots.
Sure
I’m w EM1 - Wedding/black tie event attire, do not wear at client site or at the office
All my white work shirts need cufflinks so I usually wear small simple ones or sometimes informal ones (scrabble pieces of my initials).
I have cufflinks with the shield of my college at university that I sometimes wear at formal occasions. It’s nice because the only people that notice them are people who recognise the college.
