Thoughts on ear piercings? I have multiple but nothing too flashy (most people don't notice the cartilage ones) but wondering if I should remove while at the client site or when meeting w/ partners.

I have my helix, daith and anti-tragus pierced. No one takes notice. You're fine.

The general PwC (and I'm assuming S&) dress code policy was updated in May to include jeans as everyone was made aware. A smaller change that isn't well know is that the previous piercing and tattoo language was explicitly removed. It used to say, "Body piercing (other than ears) and tattoos should not be visible." I checked with HR to verify, and the feedback I was given is that team members should use their judgement and the client policy. As such, if your client doesn't have an issue, go for it!

like

Oh great, thanks P1. I was wondering if there was a formal policy!

On kcurve, search for Flexible Dress Code for the actual language. You can probably drag up the old policy which has that line under the Grooming section if you need supporting evidence. Would forward my research email were I able to find you in the directly... 😆

I have a job, and I’m grateful that I do! But it makes me extremely unhappy. I’m talked down to constantly, our client treats us like we’re dumb and they have no trust for the creative team, and I’m constantly anxious. How do I find a new gig during these (forgive me for saying this) unprecedented times? Or what do I do/say if I want to switch accounts within my agency? I need some advice from other women who’ve been through this and succeeded at finding something that makes them happier.

A partner said on a client call that we really miss an associate I’m filling in for and that the team should be up to speed when she gets back. I can’t help feeling a bit slighted by that. My first brief was spot on arguments wise and didn’t have much redlines. Am I reading too much into it? Should I check in with him to ask if he’s unhappy with my work?

Here's the situation. I'm a freelance accountant. I have several part time clients, and one main 30-40/hr/week client. This is about the big one. The company has two co-presidents, but for the sake of clarity I'll call the person I directly report to the COO and the other the CEO - note the CEO also is the founder of the company. Again, I report to the COO. The COO is "working" in exchange for greater equity in the company and a crap ton of pay along the way. Cont.
