Nah.

LinkedIn is the only platform I would follow the partners on and I still don’t actively add them on LinkedIn.

Big NO

Absolutely not. No coworkers either.

I mean I party a lot and go to tons of music festivals. I would rather not have my partner see me out in the wild.

Outside of LinkedIn, I keep all coworkers off my social media.

Partners - Thoughts on allowing your associates to follow you on Instagram?

FWIW - I only follow/allow follows by other partners and also associates that are not in my group of my firm (I don’t want to see their story of them partying in Tulum when I think they’re busy working on my deal—makes it hard to appropriately toe the friend/boss line).

like

We mutually follow each other makes it easy for me to share my personal life or what I did over the weekend or why I haven’t gotten to something if they see me traveling etc 😊😌.

like

Depends on if they are more than simple colleagues a d what is on your Instagram.

like

I’ve gone to international weddings, music festivals, parties, etc. With my coworkers, including partners, so we all follow each other…

likeuplifting

Don’t want them to ever follow me back and see that I have a life outside the firm lol

likefunny

No

But sounds like you have a chill partner if s/he has insta

like

I don’t even follow coworkers. Curious to know who does and how is it to determine whether I should and/or could too

OP- did your partner ask you to?

I follow co-workers who are also friends / so or with whom I am friendly - also do not post wild party pictures as a general rule

like

I mean, every time you have a LITTLE bit of fun in life, they’ll know to send you work.

Nope

The answer is yes, so let’s hit the follow.

Is anyone else feeling extreme anxiety about the inevitable return to the office? I’m a junior and can’t wrap my head around how horrible it will be for QOL. It is one thing to bill 14+ hour days when you have no commute, but the thought of balancing a commute and getting any sleep is stressing me out. I am more efficient with WFH and I am afraid I will burnout quicker. Also, I will miss my dog and time with my spouse will take a hit.

Client: Is this legal?
Me: No, there is specific precedent on point.
Client: Okay, well we need you guys to work twice as hard to make it legal somehow.
Me: Okay, well we wrote a memorandum about certain changes you could make to your business model that we believe...
Client: No. The business model is what it is.
Partner: Message received. We will work twice as hard.

Need some perspective.
