Thoughts on front loading the majority of your HSA contributions to invest ASAP and then contributing the minimum amount to get the company contribution the rest of the year?

Front loading is best (as an investing principle). But does our plan even allow that?

like

I believe it does allow it because we manually set our contribution amount per pay period

Most employers have you take fixed amount per paycheck and if you contribute directly to HSA out of pocket you miss out on payroll tax savings. If your employer doesn't allow HSA frontloading I'd just stick to to normal schedule and frontload elsewhere.

like

Front load if you can without impacting employer match.

Looking at exits into pharma and biotech. Have an opp at a biotech at the SM level. Total comp excluding equity is around $190k; RSUs vest over 4 years with annual refreshers, so first year equity would be around $6,200 and it would go up by $6,200 each of the next 3 years, plus whatever base bump I get. Very good benefits package.

They envision 2-3 years before I jump either to AD or right to D. Solid opp? Or hold out to go straight to director level?

Hey folks, I’m an international student pursuing a Masters degree from UWaterloo and looking for full time opportunities in finance and consulting for fall 2022.

I have one YOE in Private Equity back in Asia, completed a fellowship at a VC in India, volunteered to help an Angel investor in Atlanta perform due diligence and a bunch of ECs. My course began in fall 2021, by the time I joined, most of the on-cycle recruitment application deadlines were already wrapped up. TIA!

Has anyone recently transitioned from Microsoft one drive to a case management system, such as Clio? How was the transition? Any tips on how to make the transition smoother is greatly appreciated!

I’ve seen a couple posts lately with comments saying that people should not use a Roth 401k. Does the logic below capture the spirit of that concept?
1. Use trad. 401k to reduce taxable income now. Convert to trad. IRA once retired, then convert gradually to Roth IRA (ladder, SEPP, etc.) at lowest marginal tax rate
2. Use Roth IRA (and/or backdoor Roth) to take advantage of tax free growth and ability to withdraw principal early without penalty
