Well their bracelets aren’t SS, they are titanium, so there’s that.
Oops, you’re right. I should have said metal bracelets as opposed to the more specific “SS bracelets.”
It’s a watch-person’s watch

I'd try one on before making a decision. In my experience, GS and Seiko watches tend to wear thinner than they are due to the shape of case/lugs
Surprisingly light and comfortable on the wrist. Not a fan of their bracelets though. Would be interesting to see what they’d do with higher price points and an integrated bracelet, but it looks like they’re happy with releasing a ton of special editions.
Impeccable horological credentials though, either way.

Snowflake would come with a titanium bracelet, which despite good marketing, scratches a bit more easily than steel.
Another point to consider is thickness of the case. If GS chooses to make a spring drive at 40mm x 11mm in steel, I’ll be first in line and it’ll be my second from the brand.
How about some wrist shots from those who own?! Always been a GS fan, never worn one though.

37mm SBGW 231
Oops!
Second G1 - the cases are too thick and diameters are a little big. The special edition SBGA427 is pretty close though. 39mm, 12.3mm thick in steel. Thinking hard about that one.
I have a GS as my daily. It's amazingly light and comfortable. It hits well beyond it's weight class
Just picked up a GS recently and would 100% recommend. I’m in love with it. Definitely worth seeing it in person - pics really don’t do their watches justice. Wears much smaller than I expected too to be honest.

Picture is distorted, has a lot of room between lugs and end of my wrist in real life

Tbh I don’t understand what a spring drive is...

(1) it's not battery powered (2) AFAIK it's the only movement with a perfect sweep

I love GS in pictures. Snowflake, Skyflake, the Special Edition 44GS with that crazy blue dial. All amazing but whenever I try them they underwhelm me... too big too bulky
