Thoughts on having job descriptions on LinkedIn vs. not?

I don’t because I use a different resume for every job I apply to. One resume is super technical, while the next is all about my skills in content writing. (I have a wide range of interests and doing this has shown me what types of interviews I can get. Answer: all kinds! It also helps that I’ve been in generalist roles that allow me to cast a wide net.)

Do you ever just have a moment and wonder how some people make it through the day? We had an interview scheduled today for an executive assistant role. Not an internship… This young lady, probably in her mid to late ’20s showed up with her mother and at first, I thought it weird but maybe she is her ride. No, the mother comes into the interview sits down, and answers most of the questions. I didn’t know how to cut the process off, so I told them we would be in touch and the mother didn’t seem to like that answer and left in a huff!! Like I am sorry for wasting your time lady.

When an independent recruiter says they will send you as a candidate to an agency, do they have to? Or can they just pretend to be polite, say you could be a great fit and ultimately not send?

What is a good interview answer for leaving a job after a few months when the real reason is that you’re sleeping with one eye open in hopes of not being on the chopping block after two rounds of massive layoffs? Company culture is at an all-time low, and it will only go down from here from what I’ve seen in the short months I’ve been there.

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
Thanks for any help!

Hey everyone. I had a conversation with a friend of me about what is the better approach:
Click apply on LinkedIn without even reading the job description.
Or
Read the job descriptions and detailsod the work before applying before applying.
The first approach is not time consuming maybe you have to apply to 100 where 1 might be suitable.
The second approach requires you to read 100 job descriptions where you apply to 10 and 1 will be suitable.
