CMV: The era of traveling consultants is over. Yes, life will go back to normal and travel will be safe again, but not until enough time/experience has passed for consulting firms and clients to realize the weekly on-site travel is unnecessary. Limited travel will still exist and maybe more at senior levels. Regional/local travel will be the norm. Consulting will remain a popular career starter for exit opps and continued high pay, but not for travel/expense perks.
If I'm leaving to another big 4, is there a chance EY will counter offer with something higher than the offer I received? Or will they normally just match the offer and its take it or leave it?
Any MBB fish that went from T2 > industry > MBB? Why did you go back into consulting? I am in a pretty good role right now but besides industry circles, I have no branding. MBB has invited me for interviews. Should I even consider? TC is about the same and I have decent hours. Worth going back for the brand, network, flexibility in/possibility of better exit opps?
I just read this crazy article about how poorly ad agencies treat people who are struggling with mental illness and other health issues. The person’s boss called them during minor surgery several times (which they knew they were having), to ask about budget pacing. Link to the article here: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/surviving-big-agency-mental-health-story-jonathan-jono-decosta What can we do to stop such toxic behaviors? Why does health, both physical and mental, not matter to these ad agencies? I’m curious if anyone else has similar tales. What agency do you think this was at?
Anyone here invest in index funds? I’m thinking about VTSAX but FXROX has no expense fees so it looks enticing. But I hear most people rave about VTSAX

For dads in CA, are we eligible for Paid Family Leave (paid by the state) in addition to the x weeks paid paternity leave our firms grant us?
Any Salesforce AEs here? Applying/looking, and curious if there is a “preferred” business unit to sell to? They are obviously different industry sectors, just curious WLB/happiness levels and salary differences A few options below: Insurance Marketing Cloud Data & Identity Manufacturing Retail
Have anyone successfully negotiated down their rent due to Covid? I’m in NYC and my management has been very inflexible.
Hi all! For an experienced hire as a Human Capital Consultant at Deloitte, what should I expect the salary/sign-on bonus to be at a MCOL city? I have approx. 3.5 YOE (non-consulting), MBA and MS degree (non target school) and also SHRM certified (which is probably irrelevant for the role but thought I’d share anyways). Already did my research but the range is kind of all over the place for experienced hires so just want to have a ballpark. Thanks!
During interview, are there any questions on clients? petition was approved for client A and now working for client B from same worksite. Does it call for amendment with new 797A?
Anyone have success returning back to their Big 4 firm but in a completely different competency? I was tech before but want to come back into business
Have Deloitte promo timelines gotten considerably longer recently? Have heard about: A -> C = 3 years, C -> SC = 4 years, SC -> M = 4 years. Is it the same across other B4 firms?
How many years to partner at MBB after mba?
Creative Director to VP Creative Director. Making 210k now, big holding agency. What should I expect/ask for in terms of money and benefits?
[Serious] Lateraling as a first year from my little hell hole to hopefully greener pastures. I have interviews lined up. Are there any questions that you wish you had asked? Any questions that are particularly good to ask my interviewers? First few rounds are with the partners.
