Agree with SM1...just got rid of them but I hated that I couldn’t wash my face the way I wanted to. I do think they’re gorgeous but it’s a lot of maintenance
I mean I do all of that also. I just didn’t wash my face the same way and had to be particular around my eyes lol which I didn’t like
I did it for 6+ months and it looked good but was a lot of maintenance. I went every 10 days for a touch up (for some reason 14 was too long for me, not sure why 4 days made a big different but it did), which also meant it was expensive. After taking them off my lashes were short and straight, it took probably 3-4 months for them to go back to normal. I would not to it again and would not recommend. Try a really good mascara first (I love Too Faced Better than Sex)
Haven’t tried them because i can’t justify the benefit vs cost ($ and time). I just use nice false eyelashes when I want a boost and takes me 2 minutes at home
I, also, did it for couple of months and couldn’t keep up with it - due to both time and $ commitment it requires. After haircut/highlights, facial, nails, waxing, occasional massage and body scrub - I’m already broke and have no time! Kudos to those who have both to do this!
Pro: they look hot
Con: I can’t sleep on my face, if I do sleep on my face the lashes get mangled and effed up, difficult to put on eyeshadow and liner, difficult to remove eyeshadow and liner, once the falsies come off your real eyelashes are stubby and short which is a nice shock the beautician did not warn me about
I never had that experience with mine, I can sleep on my face and have no difficulty with eye makeup, and when I had mine taken off to switch to a different style extension, my lashes looked the same as always. The more I read the more I think people are getting substandard lash extensions and/or poor application without realizing it 😔
I love them! yes they are maintenance, but they look sooo good. I do miss rubbing my eyes time to time, but they make such a difference. Feel naked without them... 🐒. It does get expensive if you do it regularly, but I could never master putting on my own fake lashes so. I notice that if you use the extension eyelash mascara (it’s like a moisturizer gel) to keep them separated and smooth, the lashes stay on much longer.
I love them too. My appointments are every 2-3 weeks and yes it is expensive, but that’s also due to the quality/experience of the lash artist and I think they are totally worth it. Fake eyelashes always felt heavy and made my eyes blurry so wasn’t a good option for me. Plus it saves so much time getting ready. I barely ever wear eyeliner anymore... just a bit of foundation and go
I’m hesitant because it’s an unregulated service, unlike needing a cosmetology license for a hair or nail salon. Screams germs and possibly eye infections to me, no thanks
There are certifications you need to get for lash extensions lol.
Try doing a lash perm and dye instead!
I started ahead of my wedding and have been keeping it up the last 4 months. My tech uses Novalash lashes and they’re instantly water proof and oil proof. I can go right to the pool to do my swim workout from her salon. I get refills every 4-5 weeks. I haven’t had to change anything about my routine like other commenters mentioned.
Had someone compliment me on my beautiful lashes the day before my last fill after having them on for over 5 weeks. I’m in DC and paid $300 to get the set on and $100 for refills. This keeps me from buying $40 Dior mascara and I love that I’m no longer rubbing my eyes, having makeup streaks, getting lashes or mascara in my contacts, etc. It’s just so much easier to wake up and be ready to go (I’m makeup free a lot of days) and feel confident in my look. My lashes are very light brown and I’m very fair so without these, my long natural lashes are almost invisible
I love mine!! I’m lucky enough to only have to go once a month so that saves me time & money. I also don’t really wear much makeup - just my lash extensions & touch up on brows.
