Thoughts on leaving a VC role (TC > $150k, 2YOE) to start a venture backed business?

What kind of business?

Workplace management platform replacing a currently manual process. Pricing is in the works but business model will likely be sales margin on items purchased through the platform; potentially a SaaS component but, if avoidable, I think it would be good to avoid that route to remove friction

Way too many open questions to decide on an App. Do you already have funding? Do you have a cofounder? Is there a large enough market etc etc.

In the grand scheme of things (and I‘m sure you are aware of this since you are in VC), the market is not exactly ideal for fundraising atm.

Good point on product market fit - definitely used that term incorrectly.

One question I have - the model works B2C but is more scalable B2B. I think it's better to start B2B to get more eyes on it, but part of me wonders if starting B2C day one would help with brand virality and would push employees to ask their employers to implement the platform. Have any of you seen this work? Employees like a platform and pay for it out of pocket (due to the improved productivity), then ask their employer to implement it company-wide and cover the cost?

Anyone work at PwC that can help refer and potentially share some resume/application tips? There's a strategy manager position open I am interested in applying for, but I've applied for PwC many times over the years and have NEVER gotten even a first round interview. I typically have at least a decent amount of success with my resume and I have applied for a multitude of levels and positions. I've been in FinTech CS for about 6 years.

Hi all, I got laid off from my current company (product based) a month ago. Since then I've been looking for new opportunities. I got an offer from a good product based company with a good package and also my current company offering me rehire with promotion and a good package. I have a good rapport with my current manager, and he played a major role in offering this rehire opportunity. I'm confused about making the right decision here. Kindly share your views. Both offers are pretty much same.
