Pros: work at Carlyle
Cons: live in DC
I actually loved the summer I spent working in DC — tons of free things to do, lots of interesting people from all backgrounds (lobbyists, consultants, political types, academics) and a mix of very urban or suburban neighborhoods to live in. Subway not great, closes very early on the weekend and doesn’t run everywhere — I think Uber would have fixed that issue by now
DC is an absolutely awesome city to live in. Not sure what As1 is on about.
Went there for school. It’s up and coming but still lacking compared to NY. Not bustling at all in DC. And as a foodie, i thought there wasn’t much save for a few places. Upside is that it’s cleaner. I’d still prefer NY and maybe even CHI over DC
When I visited DC I noticed an abnormally high amount of people that were angry and yelling.
