Kinda seems like the place to be - less competition for deals, more time evaluating deals than doing 4 months of diligence as one of 20 funds bidding, better culture (hit or miss, but vibe from places I interviewed was a little more laid back but still very smart VS UMM/MF vibe where I feel like I need to display my Lannister banner to get eye contact)

Is there anyone in this bowl who resides in Austin and works for any of the major hospitals? Been trying to go back into a hospital/clinical setting since moving from DC last year. Would love to pick your brain on what the culture is like at your hospital.

I have a contact who is a hiring mgr at a company I want to work for. He told me he has an open role for me and set me up with 6 interviews over a 2 week period. They all went really well and HR said I’ll most likely be moving forward to a site visit. But now my contact has ghosted me. After I made 3 outreaches he had his aa schedule time for two weeks out. Why am I being iced?

When interviewing for my position as an art director, I was told I would be assigned to a project that felt like it was made for me. I've been hired and the project has been assigned to someone else. I am upset because I only took this job because of that opportunity.

Need advice on how to frame (unintentional) job hopping. In Nov. 2019, I left a job of 6 yrs to lead marketing strategy at a Start-Up. By Mar. 2020, I realized the culture was toxic. I had to leave for my mental health. Finding a new role took a while due to the pandemic, but I found a role at a digital marketing agency. It was a great team, but paid very little. I took a higher paying job this March. Turns out, my new company is unstable and about to be acquired. I am job searching again.
