Well, I'm a trophy husband, but yet I'm the sole income earner. My wife is a stay at home Mom. I told her I want to do FIRE. Her response.."Yeah. You totally should. I did it when I married you." LOL!
Tell you what, she's a smart one. And we've been married 20 years as of June and I've known her since I we were 18. I'm even more in love with her today than I was then. I hope you get as lucky as I did. Cheers!
Underrated comment.

While it sounds nice in theory, I would rather have some form of financial buffer or already established career in case things went sour.
I like catching my own kill, so while their resource wouldn’t factor much into my own plans, it certainly would be a plus. Kind of like having rich parents. I wouldn’t expect handouts from them but will happily participate in a fancy family vacation.
As EY1 says - sounds nice in theory but then what would you bring to the table that the high powered person would want to marry you in order to do so? And what would your backup plans be in case things go sour?
Well I know what we can bring these people: intellectual stimulation and that unquantifiable magical part of living things we call a personality 😜
