I am deputed at the client office. I use PSL laptop only to check mails. But in my last appraisal my manager told me that I need to get 60 credit points for promotion. But due to client work load, i won't be able to do that. So, I have resigned from PSL mentioning the same that promotion will not happen.
But my manager told me that he will try to give me a promotion in next cycle (ignoring the credit points clause). He is asking me to withdraw resign
Shall I withdraw my resign? Persistent

Tech Mahindra Hey guys, I attempted Hackathon by tech Mahindra (for jr java developer 1-3 yr exp). After 3 days I received a call from hr confirming that I have been shortlisted and took hr round on that call. Later I received a document verification mail asking for all essential docs which are required for joining, but didn't received any offer letter yet. When I cross checked mail address with my friend in tech Mahindra, he confirmed that such hr exists with same e-mail id. Is it normal in tech Mahindra?

Don't know about the expensing. It depends a lot on where you are from how cold you are going to be. The jackets from Most outdoor companies have a temperature tag in them that shows how they are "cold rated". In the fronzen north, we usually have different jackets/coats for every 20 degrees or so. You can probably get by with a nice wool coat from 20-40 degrees. From 0 to -20 Heavy duty. 0-20 gets tricky because a lot depends on the wind. Personally I would start out with wool, hat and gloves but keep an eye on the weather and bring another one if it looks miserable. Just my opinions as everyone approaches the cold differently.
That North Face jacket will look perfect with your backpack.
Bump
This has been brought up a couple times. Boots are totes okay. In fact if you walk around with dress shoes outside most people will this your crazy. Boots are fine, change into shoes on site.
Jacket is where I differ and can't provide as much help. I've always stayed a block or two away from my engagements in the winter. So I haven't needed anything more than my tan trench coat, and usually If the weather is good I will skip that and just rock a scarf, hat and gloves with my suit. Again, not commuting far. If it's super cold or it's been snowing a lot, I'll bring the trench coat.
Absolutely it's fine. I am in Frozen North and if it -20 and you are going to be going anywhere you will want a real coat. Frostbite happens fast. No client will think twice about if. If you just wear a trench coat at -20, you will lose some credibility with the client.
What kind of coat do you wear in -20 deg weather? Also, are you able to expense something that is purely project specific?
