From industry to big 4? Would you take a pay cut and go to pwc as a 1st year senior in risk assurance? I make 95-98K and work great hours at a great company. Would be getting a pay cut if I join pwc
I was the gal who didn’t get a return offer after I interned at a B4 and now I’m officially one year into my FAANG job. Maybe their standards lowered? Either way, I’m proud of how far I’ve come 🥺
Got a job offer today to work in TAS at a top 10 firm. Currently work in big 4 audit...has anyone made that jump before? I’m about to make senior in audit and would be an associate in TAS. Career wise, is this a good move?
Left consulting for a great opp recently and I still have anxiety from my prior experience. I had hoped that it would go away. I still have that Sunday evening depression that was stimulated by my last job. How soon does this usually last after exiting a toxic Big 4 employer? Has anybody else experienced this? Its like some lingering anxiety that is preventing me from being my full self. Its like i always forget that I rescued myself. How does long does the lingering mental damage last?
How many of you are staying in big 4 due to VISA/H1b? If you have GC, will you quit immediately?
If a position at Big 4 location requirement is anywhere in the US, does that mean it’ll be temporary because you can’t be in the middle North Dakota once we go back to the office?
Call me crazy, but after 4 years in industry , 4 years in public (exited as senior) , is it crazy that I want to go back to big 4? I know most of my colleagues are already exited, but I miss the comradadre, flexibility during summers, ability to mentor / participate in random initiatives and holiday time. Industry has been such a constant grind, I almost prefer the 6 months of misery followed by chill vs. constant busy.
Accenture consultant with 3 YOE looking to move to SC level at Capgemini or big 4 in the UK. Anyone willing to provide a referral?
Anyone willing to refer for Manager Analytics at AT Kearney? My background- 8 YOE in consulting with latest as M at B4
When do you think the audit money will run out and the Big 4 will be forced to commit fully to Advisory services or die?
I went to industry (financial services) and haaate it. Miss the structure and guidance if B4. What to do what to do.
Why do people switch from one Big 4 firm to another? I mean, we all do similar work. But I’ve known multiple people come to EY from another Big 4, or leave for another Big 4. What are the reasons?
Good starting salary? For Big 4
Has there been a lot of people leaving EY lately or does it just seem like this for all the B4?
Interviewed with big 4 month back but are still in process of interviewing others. Another recruiter who doesn’t know I am already being considered wants to chat for a better role. How to handle?
When switching to another B4, what was your % increase on the base you had (previous B4 to new B4). Wondering if the range I gave of lower end 10% was too low
Have any of the big 4 or Grant announced pay cuts? BDO just did. Just want to understand if they are the only ones who have done this.
What’s the process for putting in a two weeks notice? Who does it go to? What does it look like? In B4 Audit.
Am getting progressively burnt out and thinking of moving into an internal consulting role with FIs.. I have interviews with UBS and Allianz consulting lined up. Any thoughts on whether it is a good move? How’s does the work life balance and compensation fare comparatively to Big 4 consulting?

Guys, do you still feel loyalty to your company?
At what point in life/your career does it stop mattering where you went to college? I went to a no name undergrad, thought that the ‘prestige’ of working in consulting would fix that but it still seems to matter a lot to people and actively impact perceptions/dating opportunities, etc
I know this is an incredibly privileged question to ask so spare me the criticism. But I am graduating with no student loans and starting a job in Philly making 95k. I want to lease an Audi A4 (~350/Mo) but my parents keep trying to talk me out of it saying it’s a terrible investment and that I don’t even need a car. I already plan on maxing out 401k/IRA and have an apartment for 1k/Mo. What do you guys think?

Two of my roomies went to stay with their families since March and intend on staying for awhile. Now they’re not wanting to pay rent or utilities. Is there any validity to this request? All have jobs right now.
How do people afford 20% down on homes above 500K? Outside of inheriting cash, curious how late 20s early 30s folks find themselves with 100K plus in cash?
